A plea for officer:
Right now, our Post needs leadership to continue to operates effectively. Right now, we need members to serve as Finance Officer. These rolls are essential for our Post to function and to continue service to our veterans and our community. THESE ARE NOT OPTIONAL POSITIONS. Every one of us joined the Legion because we believe in supporting veterans, mentoring youth, and serving our community. These missions only continue if members are willing to step forward and lead. This Post belongs to all of us and it will only stay active with people help each other. Many members don’t volunteer because they think the job is overwhelming. Help and guidance from the district and department. Past Post officer can mentor new ones. Work con be shared among committees. No one is expected to do this alone. The former officers that are members of our Post will help anyone who steps into these rolls. We need volunteers for these positions to raise their hands by the April meeting, so we can complete nomination and fill the vacancies to continue building this Post so we can really be a recognized community service organization in the City of Mauldin, SC.
